viAct Showcased the Future of Construction Safety at GASCCE 2026

The smartest fire detection is the one that catches what no one is watching. 🔥

That belief has shaped our work for a long time, and last week it earned recognition at the CIC Global AI and Smart Construction Conference and Exhibition (GASCCE) 2026 in Hong Kong. It still hasn’t quite sunk in.

Two exciting days at Hong Kong Science Park, and the energy on the floor was hard to miss. We showcased a range of solutions at our booth, from our robotic dog and drone with docking station to our AI camera and DZASS mini, and had real conversations with people working hard to make their sites safer.

We could feel the appetite for what AI can do in construction, and we came away certain that the industry is moving fast in the right direction.

🏆 The highlight of it all: at the inaugural CIC AI Award 2026, viAct received a “Special Mention Award” in the AI Research and Development (Safety) category for our Early Fire Detection innovation, developed for the HK Electric Lamma Power Station Extension project.

Built and proven on a live, complex power station site, it brings together what we call an “Air, Human, Ground” approach:

🚁 Drone scanning provides rapid site-wide coverage,
📷 Body-camera verification confirms alerts on the ground, and
📹 AI-linked thermal and AI cameras catch heat and smoke anomalies in the hard-to-reach zones that traditional monitoring tends to miss.

✅ The results: Faster detection, fewer blind spots, and earlier warning where it matters most.

This is what happens when innovation is applied to real site challenges, and we are proud to see it acknowledged by the
